“Rafa” Joins Leeds Force

Leeds Force are pleased to announce the signing of Greek forward Paraskevas Rafail (Rafa) Tsourakis.

Rafa, the 6’10” big man, joins the Force after playing the start of this year’s season with Italian team, Cestistica Ostuni where he averaged 8.8 points and 6.2 rebounds in six games. Previously, Rafa attended University in the States where he spent one season at North Idaho College, and three more seasons at Benedictine College in Kansas. After completing Universtity, Rafa returned to Greece where he played two seasons, one with Panonios B.C for the 2015-2016 season, and one with Gymnastikos Syllogos for the 2016-2017 season.

Rafa brings extensive international experience to the Force roster and will be a great addition to the team. Managing Director Scott Carter is excited to have Rafa join the team, saying “He fills a much needed hole in our roster and brings experience and size. He has the attitude we’re looking for and are we are pleased to welcome him to the team.”

Rafa made his first appearance with the Force in last Sunday’s game against Cheshire and will make his first home game appearance this Friday 1st of December for a Cheshire rematch at Carnegie Sports Arena. Tickets are currently available online.
