Leeds Force have signed young British forward Antonio Deogratias for the upcoming BBL season.
Deogratias, a graduate of Leeds Beckett University, joins Force after a short spell with Bradford Dragons in Division One. Force Head Coach, Mika Turunen is looking forward to developing Deogratias. He said “Antonio is super athletic and his quickness could cause the opposition problems. He is a good rebounder and if we can develop his game further he can become a great asset for Leeds Force.”
Deogratias, the 6’7” BBL rookie, is excited for the new season, saying “I am looking forward to playing in the BBL for Leeds Force. I promise the Force fans that they will get 100% from me and that we will push as hard as a we can this season. I can’t wait to meet my new teammates and get started on the preparations for the new season.”
Deogratias becomes the fifth player announced by Leeds Force as the team look to build a roster that can challenge throughout the long BBL season. He first outing for Leeds will be against his old team as Force take on Bradford Dragons on Sunday 10th September as part of their pre-season preparations. Tickets for that game will shortly go on sale through the club website.
