Leeds Force today announce the return of Aidan Appleyard for the forthcoming BBL season.
Appleyard, who is a product of the Leeds Beckett University programme, will be returning for his third season in the purple and grey of Leeds Force.
Leeds Force CEO, Mark Mills, is pleased to have Aidan back. He said “He has become an important part of the roster and his dedication to the team is second to none. The fans have truly adopted him and there are few phases of play that get as much noise from the crowd as Aidan hitting a three. Aidan will now take a more senior role in the squad this season as there will be a lot of new faces. I have no doubt he will make another step up this season again.”
Appleyard is excited to be back saying “I am delighted to be returning to the club that gave me the opportunity to play in the BBL, a league I have grown up watching. With a lot of change around the club it is exciting to see what the club can achieve, push on for a playoff berth and I look forward to working with Coach Mika. I’m sure this season is going to be an exciting one”
Appleyard joins Allie Fullah as the club’s second signing and with several other player contracts close to completion the new look Force roster will be revealed to fans soon. The Force team will take to the floor for the first time together against Bradford Dragons on Sunday 10th September at the Carnegie Sports Arena. Tickets for that game will go on sale shortly.
